Dong Jianzhong

Dong Jianzhong, male, was born in Henan Province in 1971 and studied in Renmin University of China from 1989 to 1999. He is Ph D and associate professor.
He majors in the history of politics and public finance of the Qing Dynasty.
His main publications include: Research on the Case of Governor-General and Provincial Governor Impeaching Each Other (Shanxi People’s Publishing House, 1997), Vermilion Instructions of Emperor Qianlong (China Overseas Chinese Press, 2001), “The Formation of the Policy of Return of Meltage Fees to the Public Coffers in Yongzheng Reign” (Studies in Qing History, Volume 2 2002).
He translated The Magistrate’s Tael: Rationalizing Fiscal Reform in Eighteenth Century Ch’ing China by Madeleine Zelin into Chinese, (Renmin University of China Press, 2005.)
